Sometimes it’s experience that makes the best teacher; and sometimes it’s being young enough to get down to a student’s level that does it. Amy Graves has wound those attributes together. “My mother insisted I take piano lessons when I was 11,” she says. Now I have 7 years of formal training under my belt. I really love being able to create something beautiful for others to enjoy.” Amy was home schooled. In high school she started taking on young students herself. Kids relate to her easily and she has the patience it takes to guide them through. She is currently studying at Western Nevada College, where she’s focusing on photography. “I have a lot of patience with kids and I take the time to help each one at their own pace,” she says. “I really work hard to keep the learning process fun.”
