Piano, Voice, Flute, & More

Barbara Meyers sees a little of herself in each of her students. She began playing piano at age of seven and has never stopped. She added organ, voice, and guitar to her repertoire by the time she was a teenager. With some formal training she took on teaching such instruments as violin, recorder, clarinet, flute, band choir and orchestra. Her experience is well rounded and so is her teaching. She has taught private lessons, and groups. She’s taught in the Washoe County School District and in private schools including the Sierra Vista Children's Academy and Brookfield School in Reno. A graduate of Mansfield State College, she is also a veteran to arranging, orchestrating and composing original music. In fact, Barbara received Honorary Mention from the Billboard World Song Contest of 2006.These days her full attention is on her students with Pacific Mist Music where she can relate to every child at every stage of learning.
