I provide lessons and coaching for 'beginner' and 'intermediate' violinists and Violists Reno, Nevada. I record all lessons as videos on micro-SD cards, allowing students to review the lessons and track progress over time. (These cards can be played by most computers.)

I am familiar with the Suzuki method, but prefer to use more recent methods and books (with videos) which allow dedicated students to progress more rapidly. I do not require a parent to play violin or viola with young students at the same time, and I encourage my students to concentrate while playing alone. (The traditional 'Suzkuki Method', in contrast, requires a parent to participate in playing, and also emphasizes frequent playing within a group.)

Following initial studies in first position, I move students into the Kreutzer Etudes, adding sonatas, concertos, and solo works. For most sheet music, I prefer versions published by International Editions.
