Ryan is an accomplished woodwindist who has been studying music for 15 years. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Music from Whitworth University in 2018 and is currently pursuing a Master of Music degree and a Secondary Music Education certification at the University of Nevada, Reno. Ryan has performed with and learned from several high-profile composers and performers, such as David Maslanka, Chaipruck Mekara, the Travis Brass, Arturo Sandoval, Pat Metheney, Ryan Keberle, and Branford Marsalis. His musical experiences are diverse, including chamber orchestra, wind band, jazz band and combo, saxophone ensembles, flute quartets, woodwind quintets, contemporary music ensembles, pit orchestras, and competitive solo performance. As such, Ryan places a strong emphasis on musical diversity and encourages all of his students to pursue their passions. More than anything, he is committed to helping his students pursue happiness and excellence both in and outside of music.
