Violin

Heralded by Reno Arts News for her “tender” playing, Sarah Coyl enjoys a diverse musical career. She recently graduated from the Orchestral Career Studies program at University of Nevada, Reno, where she won the chance to play the Sibelius Violin Concerto with the University Orchestra. While at UNR, she was also a member of the Nightingale String Quartet, the University’s quartet-in-residence. She has played with folk and rock bands, even performing with Michael Bolton and Johnny Mathis. As a teacher, Coyl uses a variety of techniques, including the Suzuki method, and has had great success in achieving a mature tone in the playing of her young students. She is contracted with the Reno Phil.
