Kayja Brown

Voice, Piano, Clarinet

Kayja Brown is a music educator from Orange County, California, whose relationship with music began long before she ever stepped into a lesson. Singing since the age of 7, she was inspired by generations of women in her family her mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Their voices filled church spaces with warmth, soul, and connection. That early foundation shaped Kayja’s understanding of music not just as something to perform, but as something to feel. Alongside her vocal training; she has studied clarinet, piano, and percussion, allowing her to bring a dynamic, well-rounded perspective into every lesson she teaches.

Kayja’s style is deeply personal, engaging, and rooted in discovery. She has a natural ability to meet individuals where they are, drawing out what excites and moves them, and transforming that spark into confident expression. With a unique background in engineering and ongoing studies in neuropsychology, she thoughtfully blends structure with creativity . She understands not only how music works, but how the mind connects to it. Kayja is a teacher who notices detail, while students will find a space where they feel inspired, challenged, and truly seen. Kayja’s goal is simple: to help every student turn sound into meaning, and music into something that feels like their own.

In her love for noticing, she finds herself in love of travel. Seeing the world and learning new practices of music, meditation, and medicine is what drives her ambition to always be the student and the teacher; she believes it’s what keeps our youthful. Always striving to learn more.
