Piano

Lena has been playing piano since she was a young child and has always had a passion for music. Sheapprenticed in China under a master piano teacher for 15 years and started performing in many different venues when she reached her early teens. In 1997, Lena started teaching piano and has enjoyed sharing her love of music with others. Lena is very patient with students and very open to the type of music they would like to play.



*** Lesson Details *** In our lessons, beginning students will learn to read music, play their favorite pieces, how to do warm ups and learn basic skills. I use sheet music and introductory books in my classes and assign homework for their daily practice. After 3 months, each student will move to the next level and continue learning more advanced skills. More advanced students will learn how to understand and compose music, put expression into the pieces they play and improve their current skills.

*** Specialties *** I patiently teach my students with life examples. I teach all techniques and skills with simple and easy to perform methods Speak both English and Chinese fluently, Certified Steinway Educational Partner

*** Hobbies *** I love to read and write. I wrote “Six Ten and One Nights”, 

“Tea Times”, both under my pen name Pearl Chris. Currently in the progress of my third book. Also composed a piano concerto, not been published, yet. And, I love to design and draw my little houses in different functions. I also love gardening, planting trees, collecting stones and hiking around nature…
